Although the breakage of the guide wire during this procedure is an uncommon complication, migration of the broken fragment might be catastrophic.   Case Report: We presented a case of intertrochanteric fracture with breakage of the lag screw guide wire in the acetabulum during fixation with cephalomedullary nail.
